By supporting the School of Architecture during Forty for Forty, your gifts will benefit student support areas of need, including:

Domestic Travel

We would like to offer more travel funding for our students to visit innovative cities across the country, and attend national and regional planning conferences.

Materials

Every semester, our students incur significant expenses for printing and materials. With your support, we hope to assist our students with these recurring costs.

Project-Based Practicums

In project-based practicum courses, students undertake work that is supervised by the professor. This real-life experience is essential for students but costs add up quickly. We need your help to support travel, fieldwork, and project costs to get our students involved in participatory action research and planning.

Diversity and Equality

We are always working to ensure that our student body is socially, culturally, and economically diverse by offering greater financial support to students.

Learn more about our programs at the School of Architecture:

Architecture

Since its founding in 1909, the School of Architecture at The University of Texas at Austin (UTSOA) has been one of the most distinguished schools of architecture in the country. Nearly 500 students, 71% of the population of the School of Architecture, are enrolled in each of our Architecture programs. Our teaching and research is founded on a shared interest in ambitious buildings. We uphold an integrated, close-knit design studio model encouraging dialogue, collaboration, risk taking, and innovation.

Community and Regional Planning

Community and Regional Planning (CRP) is ranked as one of the top 15 programs in the nation. As a cutting-edge research and practice program, our students are engaged in real-life planning problems and challenges. The CRP program provides its graduates with the theoretical foundations, skills, and practical experience to succeed in professional planning and related policy careers.

Interior Design

UT Austin first offered Interior Design classes in 1912, making it the oldest Interior Design program west of the Mississippi River. More than 1,000 Interior Design alumni have left their mark beyond UT’s Forty Acres. The Interior Design program at the School of Architecture offers a strong, professionally driven curriculum sequence in which architectural interior design is not bound to a specific area, but rather pushes forward without limits.

Landscape Architecture

Landscape architecture is a profession that designs, plans, and manages our land. Today’s urban environment brings forth increasingly complex social and ecological challenges which we aim to address in order to create sustainable landscapes that support social needs, provide ecosystem services, and enhance a sense of place.

With your help, we are taking the design professions to new heights.
