Since 1979, the Cactus Cafe has served as one of the nation’s premiere listening rooms for up-and-coming and established Americana artists. This tiny, yet iconic, room is where artists including Robert Earl Keen, David Ramirez, Townes Van Zandt, Lucinda Williams, Wood & Wire, and many, many others honed their craft on their way to national and critical acclaim.
Forty years later, the Cactus continues to build on its legacy by nurturing Americana artists from Austin and across the country at all stages of their career. Your support enables us to continue this tradition. Thank you.
Fundraising Initiative
The Cactus Cafe is a cherished community institution known as one of the best "listening rooms" for music in the country. We operate as a non-profit and we focus on ensuring that the majority of revenue goes to artists that play here. That focus enables us to nurture new artists as well as provide established acts an opportunity for an intimate musical experience with our community members. We're also able to provide free Open Mic Nights and Views & Brews. Supporting the Cactus Cafe will help the venue continue to offer free shows and serve as a musical platform for new and up-and-coming artists.
