Texas Disc Golf

Who We Are

We are Texas Disc Golf, the official disc golf team of The University of Texas at Austin! We are a team of people passionate about the sport of disc golf who love to play casually and compete against other teams and players. We compete in the Texas State College Tournament in the fall, the College Disc Golf National Championship in the spring, and in various other tournaments versus disc golf teams and players around the state. We hope to grow the sport of disc golf on campus and help spread love of a sport in one of the best disc golf cities in the country: Austin, Texas. Our goal each year for our players is to have fun and continue to improve the skills necessary in order to win a College Disc Golf National Championship!


What We’re Fundraising For

Our 40 for Forty funds largely contribute towards tournament fees for state and national tournaments, discs for our players, and costs such as travel expenses that some members could not afford otherwise. We want our club to give everyone the opportunity to perform and represent our organization, RecSports, and The University of Texas to the best of their abilities.


Your Impact

Disc Golf is such a welcoming sport overall to people of many different backgrounds and ages. Throwing a frisbee through beautiful, walkable courses is an experience that many people can share and Texas Disc Golf wants to continue to share the joy derived from this experience with all who are interested in the sport. We promote inclusion in our club by offering affordable club dues each year so that all members can participate and perform for our club.

Overall, Disc Golf is an escape from the stresses of college and life. It’s an easy way to spend a couple of hours in the sunshine each day, walk a couple of miles, and joke with friends the whole time. Disc Golf is a new sport for many that is growing exponentially in popularity and our club is no different. Any financial support helps to continue to facilitate the growth of our club with an influx of new members, and make our club that much more inclusive and affordable.
