Who We Are

Texas Performing Arts presents unforgettable live performances, provides real-world work and educational experiences for students, and remains a unique gathering place for our community. 

From presenting the Austin premiers of Broadway hits like Hamilton and The Lion King, to world renowned artists like Bob Dylan and Dance Theatre of Harlem, Texas Performing Arts connects people with performance. 

Everyone should have access to artistry. With your support, we create engaging and transformative opportunities for audiences of all ages to experience the performing arts. 

Through free student tickets, new work development, masterclasses, and youth engagement programs, your gifts show up for our community and expands the reach of the performing arts both on campus and in Austin.

What We’re Fundraising For

All around us, we see our Austin community growing. We know you see it, too. Unfortunately, access to artistic programming for K-12 students is not. 

At Texas Performing Arts, we’re committed to looking beyond UT's campus and providing access to incredible arts experiences for young people. You can be part of it with a gift to our Student Ticket Fund!

Gifts to the Student Ticket Fund of all sizes can make a difference: 

• $10 = 1 ticket for a student to attend a performance 
• $40 = 4 tickets for 4 students to attend a show
• $120 = Artist honorarium to support one masterclass
• $200 = Bus transportation for one classroom of students to attend a daytime youth performance at Bass Concert Hall

Your support will help Texas Performing Arts serve 20,000 elementary, middle school, and high school students from over 30 Austin-area schools. 

Your gift to the Student Ticket Fund will work to ensure students are heading to the theater and to new experiences. New experiences like the daytime performance of world-renowned Dance Theatre of Harlem for 1,513 students, ages 8 to 18 from 26 different schools...

Free tickets for kids at Texas Performing Arts provide students with connection and learning. We know providing these experiences for young people open-up new worlds of creativity, but we cannot do it alone.
