Who We Are

Established in 1940, the Hogg Foundation for Mental Health envisions a future in which the people of Texas thrive in communities that support mental health and well-being. Using a variety of approaches, including grantmaking, convening, research and public policy, the foundation works collaboratively to transform how communities promote mental health in everyday life.

What We’re Fundraising For

Kids today face unprecedented challenges that impact their mental health and well-being. COVID-19 presented new and unexpected challenges for schools, and these challenges are likely to continue and evolve throughout the current school year and beyond.

The community conditions that impact children’s mental health and well-being are daunting, but we have the power to change them. You have the power to make change. Your contribution will go toward:


  • Initiatives that support children and youth, their parents, families and caregivers;
  • Policy changes to support creating a culture of safety and well-being in schools
  • Helping to advance racial equity and student mental wellness in communities significantly impacted by COVID-19; and
  • Efforts to empower youth voice, and build opportunities for youth leadership and self-advocacy.

All with the goal of strengthening mental health for the people of Texas.
