Who We Are
Texas Quidditch is a student organization of a diverse group of students bonded by a love for the sport of quidditch. We have two sides to our organization: a house side, which is oriented towards providing a social environment for the organization, and a traveling side, which competes at the highest level in the sport against teams from around the country. The house side of our organization is constantly organizing social events as well as volunteering and organizing "kidditch" events in which the members teach children how to play the sport. The traveling side, which contains two teams, is regarded as one of the best programs in the country, claiming four national titles in its short tenure, including one just last year.
What We’re Fundraising For
Texas Quidditch needs fundraising in order to ensure that the internal operations and social functions of the organization can continue to thrive. Additionally, our traveling teams need funding to be able to attend our regional tournament, located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and our national tournament, which will occur in Charleston, West Virginia later this year. Funding travel expenses for two separate teams is a hefty task and requires large fundraising events and tasks.
Through the gifts given to our organization, Texas Quidditch will be able to provide a social and athletic refuge for our members. Donations have allowed the organization to function in the past, providing the means by which the organization is able to attend our out-of-state events and compete at the highest level.
