Below you will find answers to many common questions about 40 Hours for the Forty Acres.
What is 40 Hours for the Forty Acres?
Now in its seventh year, 40 Hours for the Forty Acres is an annual university-wide fundraising event that encourages everyone in the UT Austin community to give to the UT people, places and programs that are meaningful to them. For 40 hours, students, alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends come together as a community and show their support.
When is 40 Hours for the Forty Acres?
40 Hours for the Forty Acres will run from 6 a.m. Central on Wednesday, June 17th through 10 p.m. Central on Thursday, June 18, 2020.
Why should I participate in 40 Hours for the Forty Acres?
Philanthropy has become an increasingly critical part of the university’s support. It funds many scholarships for students who otherwise would not be able to attend college and supports the university’s top-notch faculty, state-of-the-art facilities, and hands-on learning opportunities for students. Giving back is one of the greatest things we can do for our university and for future Longhorns. Whether you can give $5 or $500, you are part of Longhorn Nation, and you can help make a difference.
What if I don't see my school or organization on the list
