What We’re Fundraising For
Moody Emergency Fund:
Support for our students affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and those in crisis. The Moody Emergency Fund exists to ensure that students at the Moody College of Communication have a resource to turn to if they find themselves facing an unexpected hardship. Emergencies may cause undue stress that can result in a dip in academic performance, force a student to fall behind their peers, or even withdraw from the university. Awards from this fund are intended to provide relief by helping with COVID-19 related emergencies or unanticipated circumstances that pertain to, but are not limited to, family emergencies, natural disasters, loss of housing, work or childcare.
We encourage you to reflect on what impacted you as a student and consider donating to help your future alumni maintain stability during a time of uncertainty.
"I'm trying my best to stay level-headed and be a good support system for my parents and sisters who have lost their pay and who are struggling to stay sane as well. These are really scary times."
— Junior, Advertising student
Moody Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Fund:
Supporting the Moody DEI Fund directly provides funding for lectures, symposia, workshops, conferences, performances, and other innovative approaches for advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion at the Moody College of Communication
Moody College is committed to a culture of inclusion and equity in which all of our students, faculty, staff, and visitors are welcome and respected. We believe that embracing diversity, within our faculty, staff, students, and curricula, creates a beneficial atmosphere for teaching, learning, and inquiry, and is a necessary condition for preparing our students to succeed in a diverse world and to change it for the better.
"Every penny that you put into this college, is going to someone’s life, it’s going to someone’s story, you’re going to be a part of someone’s story. And that is an amazing contribution…”
