Information Management Programs

Who We Are

The MIS Programs at the McCombs School of Business are consistently ranked by national publications such as Business Week, U.S. News and World Report and The Financial Times, in the top five for Information Technology. The Master of Science in Information Technology & Management (MSITM) Program, along with the existing Bachelor of Business Administration MIS (BBA MIS) further our mission to prepare students for cutting edge careers in IT.

What We're Fundraising For

Your financial support and active participation enable the McCombs School of Business to fulfill the IM Program’s mission to develop future leaders who leverage information technology for strategic business value. 

Our spring 40for40 funding: 

  1. Supports our overall efforts for keep the MIS program and the MIS degree in the top five for similar programs in the US
  2. Impacts the direct support for student organizations like MISA - the MIS Student Association
  3. Covers trip expenses for our students to attend and represent our MIS programs in national case competitions
  4. Covers selected awards and scholarships for our MIS students
  5. Provides modest internal marketing funding for promoting the MIS degree to our undergraduates
  6. Helps with costs related to encouraging student and faculty events for interaction with partners and recruiters
  7. Enables innovative and specialized faculty education support, and related advisory and steering meeting events for keeping our MIS educational offerings current with the marketplace

All of these are only supported by direct giving, not from tuition.

Your Impact

Our programs enhance the relevance and reputation of the MIS and MSITM degrees. They also develop business leaders, advisors, and practitioners who understand how to leverage information technology to create business and social value, and who are educated in the strategic, technical, financial, and economic implications of IT projects. Our graduates typically join consulting practices, information technology departments, or technical product/service sales and support teams. Please consider supporting our programs!
