What We're Fundraising For
Monetary support from family members, friends, and organizations is extremely instrumental in making our trips possible. Fundraising supports travel and lodging costs, food, partnerships with community organizations, and more. Any contribution will make a huge difference in helping to make our trips possible for other students. Funding and support from sponsors would eliminate financial barriers and ensure students have the opportunity to participate.
Support makes it possible for the Alternative Breaks program to exist, allowing students to learn and make an impact in a community.

Student Testimonies
"My experience in Mexico City was such an eye-opener in seeing cross-cultural translation of environmental practices. As someone who saw themselves as environmentally conscious, this trip enabled me to better understand how our little everyday habits affect how we interact and affect our environment. Despite it seeming like a problem out of an individual's control, this trip has empowered me to know the significance in simply educating oneself and practicing important concepts such as composting from my very home. I encourage everyone to take a step out of their comfort zone and challenge themselves through these trips to grow in becoming an active citizen." - 2023 Participant
“This experience was one that really provided me with an in-depth understanding of New Orleans’ history and actuality. I had an idealized impression of the city as an outsider and being there with students who were eager to learn and engage in its individuality made it much more of a meaningful experience. I felt like I had experienced New Orleans for much more than just a tourist; I got to appreciate more by learning about its origin. I’m very grateful to have been on this trip, and it’s one that will stand out for me as a worthwhile experience.” - 2022 Participant
