Who We Are
The Woolfolk Center for Language Disorders Research is a research center focused on better understanding individuals with language disorders across the lifespan. We are partnering with community schools and organizations to collect comprehensive profiles of individuals with language disorders.
Our current research project is working with children 4-8 years old whose language is impacted by a variety of disorders including developmental language disorders, autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and many more. We measure the language, speech, literacy, processing, and social skills of individuals and track their development over time.
What We're Fundraising For
Our research project aims to test 1,000 children in our first phase. We need a large group of children to answer important questions about diagnosis and treatment. Your donation will help us purchase testing materials and provide participant incentives that are needed to accomplish our goals. Funds from this campaign will also help us to spread the information we learn from this project through conferences and trainings for clinicians and educators.
Your Impact
Your donation directly impacts our ability to do important work for individuals with language disorders. The research at the Woolfolk Center has the potential to make major strides in improving outcomes for individuals with language disorders across the country and to impacting policy to improve the education and rehabilitation of these individuals. Your donation big or small will help us toward making a larger impact for individuals who struggle to communicate.
Thank you for supporting our work at the Woolfolk Center for Language Disorders Research.
