Who We Are
The UT Badminton Club is a UT sports club that offers both social and competitive badminton games for all ages. We have members of all levels—from beginners to nationally ranked players. We also compete in intercollegiate competitions in Texas and the nation and welcome anyone looking to have fun and play badminton at UT.
What We're Fundraising For
Where will the donations go? Shuttles: Badminton is an expensive sport to play; after a game or two, shuttles are worn out to the point that they often become unusable. The club provides tubes of shuttles at all designated club practices. Over the course of a semester, that adds up to over a thousand dollars. Your donation will allow us to continue to purchase shuttles and keep membership fees affordable for UT students. Tournament Expenses: The club team participates in multiple intercollegiate competitions each year—in our last official competition, the 2018 Texas Intercollegiate Badminton Tournament, we placed first out of the six competing colleges. However, tournaments are expensive to go to, and with registration and travel expenses increasing each year, it becomes harder to collect the necessary funds needed to sponsor the club team. Your donation lets us keep traveling to these tournaments and continue to represent UT as best as possible.
Your Impact
Any donations will contribute to the cost of shuttles and traveling for UT Badminton club members. This will make it so that students and UT affiliates can enjoy and learn more about badminton at a smaller financial cost.
