Who We Are
Texas Field Hockey was founded in 2018 by Ellen Alley. The club unites players of all skill levels through a common desire to get outdoors, stay active, work together, and progress both as a player and a person.
What We’re Fundraising For
We primarily raise money for equipment. A lot of our players do not have their own equipment, and it can be expensive to purchase new equipment. Therefore, we hope to raise enough money to cover the costs of communal equipment so that every student has a chance to play if they so desire. Equipment includes but is not limited to shin guards, mouth guards, goggles, protective goalie wear, sticks, balls, goals, paint for the field, tape, and uniforms. Expenses also include National Field Hockey League dues, umpires, travel, team events, and community service projects.
Additionally, we are striving to raise more money than ever this semester because the team is traveling to Virginia Beach, VA to compete in our first ever collegiate tournament, the National Field Hockey League Spring Tournament. As of now, our players have to pay for their own travel. This is a huge financial burden and prevents some players from having the opportunity to attend. Please donate and help us make it to our first ever collegiate game and allow all students the equal opportunity to attend!
Your Impact
Our donors' gifts over the past couple of years have made all the difference: we would not be a team without them. Countless donations have allowed our team to grow, have enough equipment for everyone, and not limit the amount of people who are able to participate. Each student at UT is able to join the team and use the team's equipment if they so choose, which would not be possible without the generous donations from our donors.
