Why We're Fundraising
The money we raise allows us to build on the amazing work we did in 2020 and 2022. In 2020, 90% of UT students were registered to vote and 75% voted. To sustain our work and reach the more than 40,000 longhorns at UT Austin, we need your support.
This fall, members of TX Votes were invited to present at the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators Annual Conference in Seattle, Washington. In March, two members of TX Votes will share best practices for encouraging voter turnout on college campuses and help other universities develop their own civic engagement initiatives.
Your Impact
This year, our fundraising goal is $2,500. Your support will help us grow our impact, elevate our programming, and tangibly increase voter turnout.
The work we do is important and supporting the student leaders that make it possible is essential. Prior to the pandemic, TX Votes members regularly traveled out of the state to convene with leaders of other organizations. These experiences helped our membership learn and grow - and motivated TX Votes to reach bigger goals every year!
This year is the first opportunity since the pandemic for our members to join a national convening and bring back what they learn! In addition to our ongoing voter registration and voter education programming, this fundraising goal will cover the travel costs for two students to travel to Seattle, Washington.
Thank you and hook ‘em!
