Who We Are
The Austin Technology Incubator (ATI) is the deep technology incubator of The University of Texas at Austin. For over 30 years, ATI has used a customized approach to support university and community entrepreneurs addressing the world’s most pressing problems. We connect innovative startups with the resources and talent they need to succeed, particularly with a focus on clean energy, food & agtech, healthcare, mobility, and water.
What We're Fundraising For
Your donation to ATI during 40 for Forty will go directly to fund Student Associate positions at the incubator.
ATI's Student Associates work directly with our member startups to move their ventures to the next level. From market research to financial models, from logistics to fundraising, ATI students make invaluable contributions to help these young ventures bring their cleantech and healthcare innovations to market. This hands-on experience is invaluable to our students as well, many of whom enter careers in deep-tech finance or management, or go on to found healthcare and sustainability startups of their own.
ATI receives no university funds to support our Student Associates' work, so we rely on the generosity of people like you to make this life-changing opportunity possible.
“Over 20 years ago I was an MBA intern at ATI working for a company recycling computer parts for Dell - e-waste. It taught me how to think like an entrepreneur, work with advisors, tap industry experts and be ready to pivot. Twenty years later, I wanted to start a carbon capture company to recycle waste CO2 and keep it out of the atmosphere. I reached out to ATI and pitched my company to join so I could tap the wisdom of the successful green tech entrepreneurs, advisors, and network. Earthly Labs grew to the leader in small scale carbon capture in less than 5 years and have merged with a global powerhouse to deliver impact for the next 100 years. Thanks ATI for being there to teach, lead and inspire a new generation of leaders - at any age!" – Amy George, founder of Earthly Labs and former ATI Student Associate
"I chose to pursue my graduate degree at The University of Texas at Austin because of the Austin Technology Incubator. Being able to get real-world experience in sustainable startups has been instrumental." - Steven Wedel, ATI Student Associate
“As a bootstrapped social enterprise we struggle finding time and energy to dedicate to activities that will further enable our growth. Through the ATI intern program, we were blessed to match with Abhi who enthusiastically set up the processes and did the due diligence to enable our manufacturing company to support the Buy America criteria. This label significantly expands our market opportunity and competitive advantage!" – Samantha Snabe, founder of re:3D
