We Prepare Teachers. They Change the World.
"I hope to become a certified teacher in Biology and teach middle school after I graduate. I also hope to influence public policy and advocate better educational practices in our schools. Thank you for investing in my education and allowing me to pursue my dreams of teaching and improving educational practices." – Cristella Mendez
Who We Are
UTeach Natural Sciences grew out of the conviction that public universities have a profound role to play in improving the public education system. UTeach is the unique secondary STEM teacher preparation program that recruits students in the College of Natural Sciences and prepares them to become STEM teachers. Through a scalable national program, UTeach is producing teachers who are educating tomorrow's scientists, technologists, engineers, and mathematicians to play a vital role in America's future. We prepare teachers. They change the world.
What We're Fundraising For
UTeach Maker
UTeach Maker is a micro-credentialing program that supports UTeach pre-service teachers in developing the tools and skills needed to bring innovative, project-based, constructionist Maker learning to school spaces. Your support will go toward equipment and materials for Maker projects and demonstrations.
UTeach Outreach UT PREP Summer STEM Pathway
A gift to UT PREP will create need-based scholarships for middle and high school students to attend the rigorous five-week summer camp focusing on mathematics, research, engineering, physics, and computer science.
Invest in the future of STEM education by investing in UTeach students. Your support is a critical component in assisting UTeach students in reaching their goal to become secondary STEM teachers.
Gifts to any area of UTeach Natural Sciences make a difference. To support a specific area not listed, select "Other" from the drop down menu, and leave a note about where you'd like us to direct your gift.
Your Impact
When you support UTeach Natural Sciences, you invest in UTeach students, the greater community of educational partners of nonprofit organizations and schools, and the K-12 students they serve.
"I am a first-year transfer student and first-generation college student working towards a mathematics degree and a teacher certification. Your support allows me to continue my education with some peace of mind and with resources that will ensure success in my career as an educator. I have learned so much in my short time here at UT, and I have never been more excited to go out in the field to teach. I want to teach in a low-income environment because I believe I could make a greater impact there. It is vitally important to me that all students are able to see themselves as capable of achieving anything they dream of in everything they do." – Jacqueline Salazar
