Who We Are 

Texas Crew is the nationally competitive co-ed rowing team at the University of Texas.

As the home for over 100 rowers, we are both the largest club sport at the University of Texas and among the largest rowing programs in the country.  Six days a week, we get up at 4:30 A.M. to make it to practice by 5:15, regardless of the weather.  Texas Crew is led by an elected student executive board whose responsibilities range from recruitment, budgeting, organizing national travel for a large team, as well as the hiring and evaluation of paid coaching staff. From coast-to-coast, San Diego to Boston, we represent the University of Texas in the highest levels of competition.

What We’re Fundraising For

Texas Crew needs your help now more than ever. As an entirely student-run program, the vast majority of our funding comes from supporters like you. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to suspend practices, temporarily halt new recruitment, and drastically reduce our current members' dues for a year and half. Though the world is finally beginning to return to normal, our team size has been greatly reduced, leaving us in need of financial support. 

In 2020, our dedicated senior class was robbed of the opportunity to compete in their final regional and national championship regattas. All subsequent regattas were canceled through the end of 2020, and the team was barred from competitive travel through the summer of 2021. Despite these and many other setbacks, a small but dedicated group of rowers continued training through the uncertainty of quarantine. Though there were no regattas in sight, our athletes logged millions of meters on the erg, driven solely by the fire to make Texas Crew an A-final program. However, though admirable, our dedication only gets us so far. Your donation and support will fund the future of our team and allow us to continue representing the University of Texas as best we can.

Your previous donations have helped Texas Crew in countless ways. You've helped keep our dues low, enabling more and more students to be able to afford being on the team they love. You've enabled us to hire an amazing coaching staff dedicated to our continued national success. You've helped replace boats lost to fires and floods and assisted us in renovating our fleet to ensure we have the best possible equipment. You've enabled us to travel across the country, coast to coast, to represent the University of Texas at the national level. Your future donation will continue to do all these things and so much more.
