LLILAS
Support Innovative Education through the LLILAS Travel Fund
Latin American Studies provides outstanding interdisciplinary preparation for students planning careers in a range of fields related to Latin America.
LLILAS students travel to Latin America to conduct research and to attend international conferences—the kind of in-depth experience they need to become experts in their field. Through their research, students engage directly with people and issues in the region. At conferences, students meet and interact with top scholars, hear about new research, and present their own work.
The Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies believes that these experiences are essential for our students.
During this 40 for Forty, you can make a difference by helping our students complete their educational journey!
Benson
The Nettie Lee Benson Latin American Collection, cited by many as the collection of record for Latin America in this hemisphere, is home to some of the most unique and rare collections on the Forty Acres and beyond.
The year 2021 marks the Benson’s centennial, yet the future is anything but certain. With the rising cost of resources, endowments supply much-needed annual support for the Benson. We need your help to take the Benson into the next century.
Former head librarian Laura Gutiérrez-Witt has graciously pledged to match the first $20,000 to the endowment she generously created, The Robert Charles Witt and Laura Gutiérrez-Witt Library Fund for Latin America.
