Who we are

There are few academic disciplines that have impacted the world around us more dramatically than computer science and our students are the future imaginers, innovators, risk-takers, problem solvers, and designers with skills not easily off-shored. Students receive a rigorous educational experience, with options to pursue a wide variety of computer sciences—software development, artificial intelligence, networks, theory, architecture, graphics, cybersecurity, gaming, and mobile. Our world-class research faculty challenges students to deepen their intellectual curiosity, and provide countless opportunities to participate in internationally respected research, meet new people, volunteer and explore personal and professional interests. These innovative educational programs are designed not only to provide concrete experience for careers but also to distinguish Texas Computer Science graduates among the best of the best."

What we are fundraising for

Our undergraduate and graduate students engage in research, get involved in student organizations, network with corporate recruiters, intern at top companies and attend conferences. Gifts are used to grow the overall strength and effectiveness of Texas Computer Science and the department’s core mission, including scholarships, enhancements to the teaching, research and improvements in student life, student diversity and career-oriented activities and events.
