Who We Are
Chapters and Networks are passionate about connecting and uniting Longhorns no matter where they are located. They are volunteer-led groups made up of the most loyal Longhorns and embody a spirit of giving back to others. In the spring they impact their local communities through Project Worldwide, an international service initiative. Each year, they provide scholarship support to hundreds of deserving students from their local areas or who share their common bond. For the 2020-21 academic year, more than $491,000 in scholarship funds was awarded to 276 UT students by chapters and networks.
What We're Fundraising For
Your gift to the Chapter or Network of your choice funds scholarships for students from your area or who share a common bond with you. Here's how:
- Texas Exes Chapters are located across the globe and serve the regional needs of alumni. Each year, they provide scholarship support to hundreds of the best and brightest students attending UT from their local areas.
- Texas Exes Networks are made up of Longhorns who share a common bond. These volunteer-led groups create a way for alumni to connect around shared interests, UT experiences, or affiliations. Each year, they provide scholarship support to deserving UT students who share those same bonds.
Your Impact
For the 2021-22 academic year, more than $533,000 in scholarship funds was awarded to 303 UT students by chapters and networks.

Keep an eye on the main page’s donation heat map! The donor who completes the map and is the first donor from the 50th state (and DC) will win an additional $400 toward their designation. The donor’s residence state will be determined by the donor heat map function of the giving day website and the credit card billing address.

The first $10,000 in payroll deduction pledges, made by UT Austin faculty and staff, between September 1 – September 22 will be matched based upon pledge amount between the first day pledged and December 31, 2021. There is no maximum individual donation amount for this opportunity.

The college, school, unit, or organization with the highest number of donations from any faculty or staff donors will win an additional reward. Prizes will be awarded after the campaign completes when results can be tabulated.
