What We’re Fundraising For

Thank you for visiting the Moody College of Communication fundraising page! While we are highlighting a few of our initiatives and great programs below, please know that any donation to any of our Moody College schools, departments, programs or centers is valued and greatly appreciated.

Moody Emergency Fund: We established the Moody Emergency Fund as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Through this fund and because of your generosity we were able to provide support, stability and aid to those struggling with extreme loss and hardships, such as food insecurity, loss of income and basic sheltering needs. We are once again asking for your support to this fund. With the recent winter storms that swept through Texas, our students, faculty and staff are suffering. By February 16, more than 215,000 were without power in Austin and many were without water or any ability to heat their homes. Since the storm hit, we have received student requests totaling more than $10,000 for emergency funding and we need your aid to help fund these growing requests. Our thoughts are also with our many Texas alumni who suffered through this winter storm. For those of us that were fortunate enough to not be directly impacted, thank you for answering this call to action.

Moody Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion FundSupporting the Moody DEI Fund directly provides funding for lectures, symposia, workshops, conferences, performances, and other innovative approaches for advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion at the Moody College of Communication. Moody College is committed to a culture of inclusion and equity in which all of our students, faculty, staff, and visitors are welcome and respected. We believe that embracing diversity, within our faculty, staff, students, and curricula, creates a beneficial atmosphere for teaching, learning, and inquiry, and is a necessary condition for preparing our students to succeed in a diverse world and to change it for the better.

Experiential Learning through UTLA, UTNY & internships: In preparation for summer and fall when students will be getting back out into the internship and career preparation world, please consider supporting those who would like to spend a semester at UT Los Angeles, UT New York, or intern locally and around the world!

Moody College Family Network: Parents, support the Moody College Family Network. Gifts during this campaign will support the Moody College Family Network Scholarship Fund and current undergraduate student needs.

Impact

"Every penny that you put into this college is going to someone’s life, it’s going to someone’s story, you’re going to be a part of someone’s story. And that is an amazing contribution…” Moody College senior
