Minorities in Education

Who We Are

Minorities in Education works to build community on the UT campus as well as serve student students in the Austin area who often overlooked or underrepresented. These groups have often battled bias based on race, class, and/or gender. Focusing on educational equity, MIE is dedicated to helping ensure every student is allowed a quality education!

What We’re Fundraising For

Minorities in Education works directly with education organizations and non-profits such as Breakthrough Central Texas and Amanaah Refugee Services, as well as working directly with elementary schools in Austin.

Your Impact

MIE has a long history of community service and activism that dates back to our organization’s beginning in 1988. We focus on helping to ensure they every child has access to a proper education.
