Who We Are
Texas Field Hockey is the first collegiate field hockey team in Texas and one of the newest club sports here at UT. Our main purpose is to facilitate the growth of field hockey on a collegiate level in Texas, foster an inclusive community on our team, represent UT as we compete, and promote the overall wellness of players through exercise. Though we have only existed at UT for two years, we have grown to almost 40 members of all skill levels and competed in many games, with even more to come.
What We’re Fundraising For
We are proud to have started the first collegiate field hockey team in Texas, but this does make competing on the collegiate level challenging. Through this 40 for 40 campaign, we are fundraising to cover the costs to travel to our first tournament. We hope by traveling to compete with other collegiate teams we can improve our skills, grow our team, and hopefully set an example for other colleges in Texas and encourage them to start their own teams and continue to grow the sport in Texas.
Running a club sport is expensive, and every donation helps us grow our team and the sport, regardless of the amount. For $5, you can buy us a new ball. For $30, you can cover a semester of dues for a member of our team. For $60, you can cover the equipment for a new player. For $125, you can cover the expenses of a player traveling to a tournament. And for $300, you can cover dues, equipment, travel fees, and a uniform for a new player. Every donation helps, and we are so grateful for your generous support!
