Who We Are
Texas Women's Ultimate consists of two teams: Melee and Mayhem. Melee is one of the nation's top collegiate teams. Since the beginning, Melee has worked hard to qualify for Nationals. We are a team rooted in commitment, teamwork, and excellence. Mayhem is Texas' second team. Reinvented in 2006, Mayhem's focus is to provide players wanting to invest in the sport, with an emphasis on development. Most of Mayhem's tournaments are local, and it is a great way to stay in shape, meet new friends, and play the best sport in the world!
What We’re Fundraising For
In order to attend travel tournaments that the teams compete in, we need help raising funds. Please help our program raise money for travel costs such as bid fees, hotels, and car rentals. Our end goal being to compete on the National level, means we must attend several sanctioned tournaments throughout our season. This year we are attending five out-of-state tournaments for that purpose. With a goal of inclusivity, any support that would alleviate the burden on our players, would be greatly appreciated. Please consider helping our program so young women can enjoy the sport without the anxiety of financial barriers.
Every spring the club hosts one of the largest Women's College Tournaments in the nation. This year the event attracted 40 teams from both locally, and across the country.
Hosting this tournament is a hands on experience for our program, and we need to rely on having the resources to keep the tournament running smoothly.
We want Centex to continue to be a high level tournament respected across the division. Centex is extremely meaningful to our program, and the ultimate community in Austin. The experience is always memorable, from the high-level play, to the supportive fans and family, our barbecue, and to top it off, a dance off, where all teams come together to close out the tournament.
