Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you are!
Eight hours west of brilliant Austin, U.T. astronomers use immense telescopes under amazingly dark skies to probe the universe for answers to questions like that.
Wouldn’t the rest of us like to know what they’re discovering?
Please help U.T. Austin’s McDonald Observatory continue and expand its renowned tradition of public education and outreach. We produce a daily astronomy radio show called StarDate that’s heard by millions. We publish a magazine by the same name. We welcome tens of thousands of star-struck visitors each year, offering breathtaking glimpses of the most distant and sublime things they may ever see. We train teachers and we teach kids all about science: Its tools, techniques, people, and fruits. We receive no funding from University or state budgets for these programs, and that’s why we ask for your help.
Please donate today so McDonald Observatory can keep connecting curious people here to what’s out there.
