At the Dell Medical School, we are rethinking everything. This includes how we teach the next generation of doctors. When you support medical student scholarships, you are investing in future physician leaders who are ready to transform health in every corner of the community.
Preparing future doctors is a big responsibility, and we need your support. Our goal is to cover 1/3 of tuition costs for each medical school class. We have met 74% of our goal for the 2017-18 school year. You can help us reach the finish line!
There’s no better time to give – for every dollar you donate during 40 Hours for the Forty Acres, the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation will match your gift, up to $55,000. Today is the day to double your impact!
Your gift during 40 for Forty will support scholarships for 100 students in our first two classes. Here are just a few of them:
“I am passionate about population health and addressing health disparities for low-income neighborhoods. While this is not a high-paying area of medicine, scholarship support makes this a feasible path to pursue.”
-Misha Mijanic, first-year medical student
“I am ready to be a different type of doctor who functions in a different type of healthcare system. And I want to have a say in what both of those look like."
-Rachel Fresques, first-year medical student
“Scholarships make it possible for me to choose a career based on calling, not because of the financial burden of medical school debt.”
- Brooke Wagen, first-year medical student
