Like many of the University of Texas sport clubs, Texas Running Club has a number of seasoned veterans still trying to improve, but what sets our club apart is our welcoming attitude toward those just getting into our sport.
We pride ourselves in our ability to attract members of all running backgrounds to promote general fitness at UT. We offer fun bonding opportunities ranging from club camping trips to 200+ mile relays. As we gain active members every year these activity costs increase, so we need your help!
Support from donors like you will help us send our members to the wonderful running events around the Austin area. We strive to make the Texas Running Club as affordable and approachable for new members as possible. The donations we raise during 40 for Forty would strengthen these efforts so all our members can participate in the races, relays, and meets. Our goal is to increase the community of runners at the university with the hope of fostering a competitive and fun atmosphere for all collegiate runners.
Our competitive team attends the National Intercollegiate Running Club Association (NIRCA) track and cross country meets every year. These events are usually out of state, and thus the travel costs are high. We are asking for your help to send our runners to these events so we can show those Northeastern schools what Texas is all about. Hook ‘Em, Baby!
