Developing students into the leaders of tomorrow is central in the College of Natural Sciences. Whether it’s helping to create an environment where emerging scientists and mathematicians reach their full potential, making an impact in their field, or fueling a new entrepreneurial initiative that teaches STEM students the value of their unique approach to problem-solving, together we can all do something to create a vibrant Texas and beyond.
This is your call to action. Now is the time to give.
During this year’s 40 Hours for the Forty Acres campaign, Longhorns across the globe will come together to raise their horns – and funds – to support graduate research and help facilitate partnerships between undergraduates, faculty and professionals that will yield innovation:
Graduate Student Support
By supporting graduate students’ education, donors invest in the next generation of scientists. These students play a critical role in undergraduate education, teaching and mentoring students earlier in their academic careers, and they carry out vital research in faculty members’ labs. Research conducted by our graduate students propels discoveries across the College of Natural Sciences, and donor support allows us to successfully recruit and retain the most talented emerging scientists across our disciplines.
Inventors Program
The Inventors Program is designed to empower interdisciplinary teams of science and engineering undergraduates to turn scientific discoveries into societal impact. As students apply scientific problem-solving to real-world challenges, they engage in designing and developing entrepreneurial solutions. They also practice career skills, such as communicating effectively with diverse audiences and networking, and they gain experience working and collaborating in teams.
Your gift will offer critical support to areas within the college that need it most. Together, we can push forward the frontiers of science by supporting breakthroughs and discoveries.
Raise your horns. Give now to Texas Science.
Congratulations to the First Bytes Scholarship fund for capturing the 1,000th gift and winning $100!
