UTeach – College of Natural Sciences
We prepare teachers. They change the world.
The mission of UTeach is to attract a wide range of bright science, mathematics, computer science, and engineering majors into secondary STEM teaching careers, to prepare them through an advanced field-intensive curriculum, to offer STEM-related internships, and to promote professional retention through induction support and ongoing professional development.
Every gift, no matter the size, supports UTeach students on their journey to become the secondary STEM teachers who are teaching our future Scientists, Technologists, Engineers, and Mathematicians!
UTeach Maker is an innovative micro-endorsement program that helps UTeach students bring Maker education practices into their STEM classrooms and makerspace environments.
Internships allow UTeach students to focus on their academic courses and enrich their pre-teaching experiences by working with the local school programs and non-profit STEM-focused organizations that serve our K–12 community.
UT PREP camps provide historically underrepresented students a supportive pathway to pursuing and being successful in STEM-focused college majors and careers. Students learn a curriculum of math, physics, engineering, and computer science that prepares them for Advanced Placement and dual credit courses, as well as applying for college and STEM careers.
