We are the University of Texas Sailing Team. We are a competitive cohort that travels across the nation to race against other colleges. Our mission is to cultivate a love for competitive sailing while increasing the knowledge of our sport throughout the University and our communities.
We are fundraising to achieve two goals – one short-term and one long-term. Our team will be (fingers-crossed!) be attending Intercollegiate Sailing Association Nationals in Rhode Island this coming May. This is a ten day trip for the team, and any extra bit of funding helps us offset the cost to our sailors. Our long-term goal is buying a new fleet of boats. We currently have a fleet of eighteen FJ dinghies that are on their last legs, and are in need of replacement. We have been saving for over five years, and are hoping to finally purchase them in Spring 2020. Please consider donating to our team so we can go to Nationals and purchase a new fleet!
