The University of Texas Ice Hockey Team is a part of the American Collegiate Hockey Association Men’s Division 2 League, as well as the Texas Collegiate Hockey Conference. This is the 16th year of the team’s existence and one of the best. In the 2017-2018 season, the team had a record of 20 wins and 6 losses, and a regular season championship in the TCHC. The team was continually ranked in the top 20 of the ACHA West Division throughout the whole season.
The team consists of players who have played all over the country throughout their careers coming together to study and play here at the University of Texas at Austin. The season lasts from early September to late February, with all home games and practices at Chaparral Ice at Northcross Mall in Austin, Texas. Through 40 For 40, the Ice Hockey team hopes to be able to supplement cost for traveling to away games, paying for practice ice time, and participating in bigger and better tournaments across the nation for the 2018 – 2019 Season. Due to the expensive nature of running a hockey team in Texas, any donation would be of great use to the team in helping them accomplish their larger goals of winning a state, regional, or national title! By donating the 2018 – 2019 Season Initiative, you will be helping push the Longhorns to even more success than this past year!
