UT Women’s Club Water Polo
The Women’s Water Polo Club is a competitive club team at the University of Texas at Austin. We practice in the spring and fall alongside masters and high school teams to support water polo in Austin. During the spring, we compete against other universities in the state of Texas to earn the Texas Region Champion title. This guarantees us a spot at the national tournament. During the fall, we travel to different regions in an effort to grow as a team, both in and out of the water. This past fall, we were able to take our team to Florida, Houston and Dallas.
We have already had two conference tournaments this season and are preparing for the final tournament in April. Our record so far this season is 7-1, as is Texas A&M’s. Each team’s only loss was to the other. We hope that with the support of our family, friends and alumni, we can take the title at the Regional Championships and travel to the Rocky Mountain region in early May to compete in the national tournament. Our team has greatly improved this year and we are very excited for the rest of the season!
Any donations raised during the 40 Hours for the Forty Acres will go towards tournament expenses and aid us on our journey to nationals. Thank you in advance for your support and hook ‘em!
